Best Espresso Machine – The Search For the Best Coffee Is On!
Coffee lovers are always on the lookout for a better jolt of the juice. Some of us seek a kinder, gentler java. Other caffeine junkies yearn for a stronger slap in the face kind of drink. This never-ending journey has spawned a new form of overzealous nature that consumes our daily activities. We wake to the sound of the brew pot with great expectations. The wispy aroma of fresh coffee elevates us from our slumber and sloth as we levitate to the kitchen for that first cup. We know the intricacies of the best beans from South America, the elegant craftsmanship of the best espresso machines, the most elegant bean grinders and of course, the location of the best Barista in town.
Of course, we are creatures of social anomaly. We love to hang out in coffee shops and chitchat, but we also are over-achievers. Kava makes us work at incredible speeds. This is partially due to the over-amping effect of the beloved nectar. We are easily spotted at Starbucks marveling over the machinery of brew magic with a gleaming stare and a crafty smile. This same look can be observed by handing a mechanic a shiny new tool.
The problem with having such a contraption is that the home use machines are nothing like the commercial ones. We view the big, beautiful, shiny brass monuments with awe. Then to go and buy a little one-cup wonders makes us go, “Awww, its so cute.” Most home use machines do only a cup at a time. They are messy and temperamental. The very nature of these machines requires constant attention for such a little reward.
The steam venturi has to be cleaned after every use. If not, nasty things deposit themselves in your next cup. This same snakelike tube also has a mind of its own. It can and will at any given time clog up the orifice with various impurities and build up pressure. The end result is a blast of hot steam into your unsuspecting cup of concentrated Joe. You, the proud owner of this new cappuccino cougher, are now wearing your great expectation and it is hot!
The truth is that the best espresso machine is the one at the neighbors house that we do not have to operate. Such a machine would disenchant the average consumer, but not the crafty cup holder. We yearn for the perfect dosage of our medicine. This is not unlike the pro golfer who spends his life searching for the perfect shot. While we may always be searching for the best coffee machines, we will drink a lot of great coffee on our journey!
